Ashley: "Angie! Did you get it!? Did you get it!?" Angie: Look of confusion.

09/15/10
Last Wednesday for ladies night. Heather, Angie and I decided to go downtown and own our new favorite bar. Cuvee. Upon walking in we realized CLEARLY it was a club to come late to. So we had to figure out where we were allowed to sit. Being as I'm from Arizona and not use to the "seating" out here I had to make friends with the new doormen. Now lets keep in mind the week prior to I met the tallest man of my whole life, he's 7'1. As well as a doormen who let me be a criminal minds detective. But neither of my new found friends were anywhere to be seen. So I thought and assessed quickly and made friends with the nearest man. He said I could sit anywhere I wanted to. I like when people say I can do whatever I want. Again, love this bar. We sit, hang out. Watch the drunk men decide who their next prey will be. Then behind the curtains comes THE TALLEST MAN ALIVE. I immediately ask him to take a picture with me. Angie gets to be the photographer. I hand her the camera say you take it! She takes it. I thank him and he walks away. I look at her excited and say "So! How is it!?" she just looks at me dumbfounded with a look of awe on her face. I grab the camera. It's my face and a torso. Damn you Angie. We all laughed so hard I almost cried. I then tracked him down again and asked someone a little less intoxicated to take the picture. He proceeded to tell me he was going to start charging me for pictures.

We head to the next bar. Mothers. We are the ONLY 3 girls in the bar. Big mistake. We are the only prey for these i'm sure upstanding young men. Angie gets some guy to but us shots. Shortly after that I don't remember leaving and thats where my night ends. Next morning I wake up to Angie telling me she got "sick" last night and asks me to clean up around the toilet. I think, sick? is she ok? I wonder if it's food poisioning? No. No. Highly mistaken. She threw up in my bathtub. She was hung over all day at work. Silly Angie, you're not sick. Just drunk. After work she came over and slept while I went to work.

This night we had a benefit concert for the Arthritis Foundation as well as Heathers birthday. I buy 20 dollars worth of raffle tickets so I can win the 4 pass tickets to the Science and Industry Museum. I win. I find out while were downtown. Jesse and I sleep the drive to downtown while Jamie jams out to the wonderful music playing on the radio. We find Heather outside sucking down her alcoholic beverage prior to walking in. I buy a 35 wristband to drink domestic beer all night. While inside ordering I realize they have no Miller Light only Bud Light. This upsets me. I hate Bud Light. I throw it away and get a rum and coke. Then talk to the bartender about what my options are. He informs me i'm very cute and he will let me order whatever I want (Heiniken) if I stop asking questions and don't tell anyone. THANK YOU BARTENDER MAN! Then it comes to my attention Manny Ramierez is downstairs. I love Manny. He has the neatest hair ever. Only reason I've gotten so into baseball. So I tell Jamie we need to head downstairs. Jamie sees him, I don't :( but what I do find is a neat door that reminds me of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory! We take a picture! Smallest door ever! Upstairs Heather is a dancing machine. I couldn't figure out if she was doing the insanity work out or dancing. It was intense. I take the only available seat in the entire bar. Next to the cutest boy ever! We exchange numbers. Somewhere throughout the night I somehow get my green gum in Heathers hair. Who knows, don't ask. I don't have an answer for you. We get back to the hotel. I've already asked our cab driver Fidel for his social security card. I remember this night entirely. We open another beer. Talk fantasy. Smash some delicious Dunkin Doughnuts and pass out. The next morning we take the train back and I fall asleep the second I get home. Successful evening.

There will be more posts to come very soon! This one is for my very amazing friend Angie who is leaving for Rome this afternoon to go to school. I will miss you so much! I hope you have an amazing time! I look forward to your blog my love! Skype you soon!
